Expansion to the US

Logitech entered the retail market with the C7 mouse. Available for under $100 in the U.S., the C7 was viewed by many as a breakthrough in price. 1990s Design and Innovation Abound

Logitech was innovating rapidly and showing an early sense of its design capabilities. Realizing that one size can’t fit all, Logitech introduced mice in different shapes and sizes in 1990 – MouseMan Left, MouseMan Right, and MouseMan Large - as well as its first radio-based cordless mouse, the Logitech MouseMan Cordless in 1991. This 27 Mhz wireless standard was used for many years in the company's mice and keyboards, paving the way for Logitech's long history of wireless innovation. Logitech also introduced FotoMan (1992), an early digital still camera that connected directly to a PC; AudioMan (1992), its first audio peripheral, an all-in-one PC microphone and speaker and VideoMan (1995), its first webcam.

2019 - Accelerating Efforts in Sustainability

It has gone on to be a pioneer in the tech industry, leading innovation through its Design for Sustainability programs to lower the carbon impact of every product and driving transparency for customers. It was the first consumer electronics company to provide detailed product carbon footprint labeling on product packaging across the entire portfolio.

2023 - A new chapter

Hanneke Faber, became Logitech’s chief executive officer, the first female CEO in the Swiss Market Index.

Birth of Logitech

Logitech was founded in 1981 in the village of Apples, Switzerland, by Daniel Borel, Pierluigi Zappacosta and Giacomo Marini. It was named as such because of the software background of the three founders - a mix of logi (short for the French “logiciel”) and tech (“technologie”). The startup was based in a farm building – the Swiss equivalent of a Silicon Valley garage. Little did the founders know that amongst the software projects they started work on, the humble mouse was the real future of the company.

What we value

At Logitech, our values are not words posted on a wall. They are a core part of who we are. They are lived and recognized in our actions every day.

Equality & Environment

Equality & Environment

We strongly believe that every individual should have equal access - but the world at large is not like that yet. Within our company, we will work hard to offer equitable opportunities for each individual, regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, and more. By doing this we hope to level the playing field for everyone. We also strive to address the climate crisis in front of us with actions that will better the planet, whether it be our commitments to renewable energy, to carbon reduction operationally, carbon labeling on our products, or designing every product more sustainability, we are taking bold steps in all aspects of our business to support this value.

Open & Ourselves

Open & Ourselves

We want everyone to feel they can be themselves in every way, no pretense, no dress code, nor other limitations. We want you to be the ‘whole you’, not a ‘part of you’ so we’re flexible on helping you get what you need to get done personally and professionally. At work, we focus more on what you achieve and who you need to work with than what time of day, or where, you choose to work on something.

Hungry & Humble

Hungry & Humble

We seek out different perspectives, learn from mistakes, share our experiences, and never give up.

An Award-Winning Design Company

We design with the consumer at the centre of everything we do - this is a strategic and cultural differentiator.

As an award-winning design company, we pledge to future generations to create great customer experiences and do so in a way that is sustainable for the planet and society.

Our approach has garnered us more than 300 international design awards in the last 7 years / since we began our evolution from a product company to a design company a little over 7 years ago.
